The Megger Easyloc Standard is a fast, simple-to-operate utility-locating system designed to detect and trace cable runs and pipe networks ahead of excavation work. It pairs the Easyloc RX Standard receiver with the Easyloc TX transmitter to give operators both audio signal and visual confirmation of buried services at all times — minimizing the risk of striking power cables or other utilities.
Active-mode tracing operates at 33 kHz with selectable 0.1 W or 0.5 W transmitter power (continuous or pulsed). Passive-mode detection covers radio frequencies (15–23 kHz) and power frequencies (50–250 Hz) so cables radiating from in-service distribution can be located without a transmitter at all. Push-button depth measurement is available even in passive mode: 0.3–5 m for energized cables, 0.3–7 m for sondes such as the Megger MLS 55-3.
A semi-automatic sensitivity control simplifies operation in noisy electromagnetic environments, and the receiver's big backlit display walks operators through the menu structure. The mains-voltage-proof transmitter output means no separating filter is required when injecting signal directly onto live cables (use the optional Easyclamp 100 mm transmitter clamp, P/N 2010176, for non-intrusive coupling without breaking power).
Suitable for water, rail, gas, power, highways, and telecommunication utilities — plus contractors, groundworks, building, civil engineering, street lighting, and landscaping companies.
