Our Story
Valley Instrument Service was founded in 1971 in Bakersfield, California — right in the heart of one of the most productive oil-producing regions in the country. What started as a small instrument repair shop has grown into a full-service instrumentation company serving industries across California and beyond.
Now in our third generation of family ownership, we've stayed true to the same principles that built this business: know your products inside and out, stand behind your work, and treat every customer like a neighbor — because most of them are.
Our NIST-traceable calibration laboratory is the backbone of our operation. With 7 calibration disciplines under one roof — electrical, pressure, temperature, dimensional, torque, gas safety, and water quality — we can handle virtually any instrument that walks through our door.
We also manufacture custom thermocouples, RTDs, and thermowell assemblies in-house. When off-the-shelf won't cut it, our team builds temperature sensors to your exact specifications.
