The Megger range of 5 / 10 / 15 kV DC insulation resistance testers is built around a 'no compromise' approach to safety, rugged dependability, and decades of accuracy and reliability across power generation, transmission, and distribution. The full-color custom display delivers a wide viewing angle in extreme environments, and a dual-case design (tough outer plus fire-retardant inner) protects the instrument while keeping leads stowed in velcro lid pouches.

The MIT1025/2-US delivers 10 kV maximum test voltage with measurement from 10 kΩ – 20 TΩ. Preset test voltages: 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V, 5000 V, 10000 V; user-defined lock voltage adjustable across 100 V – 5 kV in 10 V / 25 V steps. Accuracy is ±5 % to 2 TΩ at 10 kV (extending to ±20 % at higher TΩ values). Capacitor discharge: <250 ms/µF from 10 kV to 50 V.

The Advanced range layers Dielectric Discharge (DD), Ramp test, Polarisation Depolarisation Current (PDC), and Stepped Voltage (SV) testing on top of the Essential capability set, alongside IR, IR(t), DAR, PI, the patented PI Predictor (PIp) — which can finalise a Polarisation Index test in as little as 5 minutes — and the new RE>Act mode that monitors reabsorption current to prevent false IR results. User-selectable charge current 1 / 3 / 6 mA (6 mA from mains supply only).

Safety-rated CAT IV 600 V to 3000 m with five-level voltage-warning system; IP65 case-closed / IP40 lid-open; –20 °C to +50 °C operating range; 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs). Onboard time-stamped storage with temperature recorded per test (5.5 hours logging at 5 sec intervals). USB Type B and Bluetooth LE both transfer results and live-stream readings at 1 Hz. CertSuite Asset (cloud) and PowerDB Pro / Advanced / Lite supported; Bluetooth LE allows transfer to iOS, Android, or Windows.

Applications span manufacturing QC and pre-shipment benchmark testing, on-site commissioning, predictive maintenance, and post-repair verification across cables, power transformers, measurement transformers, circuit breakers, motors, generators, and bushings — in production-line, construction-site, industrial, distribution, and transmission environments.
