Multi-spot temperature sensor with an integrated water-level sensor — combines the Rosemount 565 spot-temperature architecture with a separate water-level probe along the same sensor tube. Used for monitoring the temperature profile AND the free-water layer at the bottom of crude oil / petroleum product storage tanks (water settles below oil; the height of the water layer is custody-transfer-relevant). Up to 16 Pt-100 RTD spot elements + 1 water-level input. Stainless steel 316 housing welded to the flexible temperature sensor tube. Pairs with the Rosemount 2240S Multi-Input Temperature Transmitter (which accepts the water-level signal on its Auxiliary input).
PDS: 765 metric range 2000-60000 mm (2-60 m, 10 mm steps) — note SHORTER than 565/566. US range 80-2300 in (1 in steps).
PDS: ANSI raised-face flanges (A-L), EN flat-face flanges (1-7), or M33×1.5 threaded (code 0). All flanges in SST AISI 316. Crude oil / petroleum tanks typically use 4-in or 6-in Class 150 RF.
PDS spot-element limits: wiring 4 → max 10 spots; wiring 3 → max 14 spots; wiring C → max 16 spots. (Water-level-only mode wiring=0 not exposed here — contact for quote.)
PDS: 01-16 spot elements distributed along the sensor length, with wiring-dependent maximums (see Sensor Wiring).
PDS: Class 1/10 (code 2) requires four-wire sensor wiring.
Standard integrated installation with Rosemount 2240S transmitter is code 00. Specify a length code for remote-mount installations: 04-10 in meters, 13-33 in feet.
PDS-real codes. Closed (C) for light products; open (H) for crude and heavy duty. Range is either 500 mm (19 in) or 1000 mm (39 in).
Rosemount is configurator-heavy and quote-only — Valley Instrument verifies option compatibility, lead time, and pricing before confirming your order.
