Single-spot intrinsically-safe cryogenic temperature sensor (gas atmospheres Cat. 1 Zone 0) for full-containment cryogenic and refrigerated tanks. Spot elements wired through a mineral-insulated flexible steel cable up to 300 m (980 ft) — allows temperature measurement inside a full-containment tank during cool-down, and leak detection in the tank's insulation space. Single or dual Pt-100 element, 4-wire or 3-wire, Class A or Class B accuracy (per IEC 60751). Integrated to the Rosemount 2240S Multi-Input Temperature Transmitter via a conical connection or junction box — each 2240S supports up to 16 Rosemount 614 sensors. The 614 Flange (model 614-FLNG) is a separately-ordered companion accessory for multi-hole tank installations.
PDS Mxxxxxx — metric mm range 002000-300000 (10 mm steps, up to 300 m / 984 ft). Exxxxxx — US in range 000080-011810 (1 in steps). Custom length specified at quote.
PDS IEC 60751 accuracy classes. Class A is the cryogenic-targeted spec (±0.15 + 0.002·|t| °C, -170/+95 °C). Both classes work with either 3-wire or 4-wire — accuracy class itself does NOT impose a wiring constraint (PDS-confirmed).
PDS: 3 lead-out types. Type 1 = wired (cone bought separately). Type 2 = cable for junction box. Type 3 = wired with sliding fitting for junction box.
PDS: 00 = standard 560 mm (22 in.) — requires lead-out type 1 or 3. XX = non-standard 1-20 m (3-66 ft) — requires lead-out type 2 only.
PDS: code 1 (¼-in NPT) requires lead-out type 3 OR (lead-out type 1 with single-element). Code 3 (½-in NPT) has no restriction. When using flange fitting 1 with lead-out 1, the sensor must have a single element (numberOfElements=S).
PDS X4/X9 require sensor-wiring=4 AND Certificate Q4.
PDS: Q4 calibration certificate requires Sensor Calibration X4 or X9, AND sensor-wiring=4.
Rosemount is configurator-heavy and quote-only — Valley Instrument verifies option compatibility, lead time, and pricing before confirming your order.
