Adds internal 24 V DC loop power supply (lets you commission and power a 4-20 mA HART transmitter without a separate field power source) and mA readout. The standard module supports HART/FF communications only; the Plus module adds the loop-power capability that field commissioning teams need.

Trex Device Communication Plus Module

Snap-on Plus Module that extends the AMS Trex / Trex 2 Device Communicator with two unique field-communication powers: (1) ability to power loop segments — the Trex provides 24 VDC to wake up an unpowered or stranded transmitter for configuration, and (2) a built-in 4-20 mA ammeter — measure live loop current directly from the Trex without breaking the loop or pulling out a separate multimeter. Best for technicians who routinely commission new transmitters or troubleshoot 4-20 mA loop issues in the field.
