The Megger MOM3 is a 300 A handheld micro-ohmmeter for measuring contact resistance on circuit-breaker contacts, busbar joints, switches, disconnectors, safety-ground connections, welding points, fuses, and cables. Rugged 1.15 kg rubber-bodied design with a built-in shoulder strap; handheld field operation in substations and industrial environments.

Two ultracapacitors deliver up to 300 A through loads ≤2 mΩ, with regulated current held constant for the full test duration. Auto-ranging from 0.1 µΩ to 3000 mΩ across 5 ranges; ±0.1 % of reading ±0.05 % of range. Ultra-short measurement time means no test-object heating — eliminates the bidirectional measurements other micro-ohmmeters require.

Selectable minimum-current guarantee from 5 A to 300 A; pass/fail thresholds settable from 0.1 µΩ to 3000 mΩ. On-board logger stores >2000 measurements in running-numbers mode with timestamps, current, and resistance. USB-C for charging and PC data transfer; optional Wi-Fi communication to the Megger EGIL 200 circuit-breaker analyzer (Wi-Fi variants available Q4 2025). IP54, –20 °C to +50 °C operation, complies with IEEE and IEC standards.
