The S1-1568/2-US delivers 15 kV maximum test voltage with measurement from 10 kΩ – 35 TΩ. Preset test voltages: 250 V, 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V, 5000 V, 10000 V, 15000 V; user-defined lock voltage adjustable across 40 V – 15 kV in 10 V / 25 V steps. Accuracy is ±5 % to 3 TΩ at 15 kV (extending to ±20 % at higher TΩ values). Capacitor discharge: <3500 ms/µF from 15 kV to 50 V.

The Expert range combines all Advanced test capability with Megger's most sophisticated noise rejection — adaptive filter, averaging filter, 8 mA noise current immunity (rated for EHV environments up to 1000 kV) — plus full remote control via USB cable for hands-off operation in switch yards and during factory automation. PDC, Ramp, SV, DD, IR, IR(t), DAR, PI, PI Predictor (PIp), and RE>Act test modes are all included. Charge current is finely selectable in six steps (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 mA), with 6 mA available from both internal battery AND mains supply.

Safety-rated CAT IV 1000 V to 4000 m with five-level voltage-warning system, hazardous peak voltage detection during IR measurement, and lockable HV plugs with non-removable test clips; IP65 case-closed / IP40 lid-open; –20 °C to +50 °C operating; 6.3 kg (13.9 lbs). Onboard time-stamped storage records temperature AND humidity per test (11 hours at 5 sec intervals). USB Type B and Bluetooth Class 2 for both result transfer and 1 Hz live streaming.
