DPM1000 1000 A AC/DC True-RMS Power Clamp Meter.

The Megger DPM1000 combines a power meter, harmonics analyzer, and data logger into one handheld clamp-on package. Designed to BS EN 61010-1 CAT IV 600 V for supply-side applications, the DPM1000 reads AC, DC, pulsed, and mixed currents up to 1000 A by clamping the jaws around the conductor; voltages up to 1000 V AC or DC are measured via the supplied test leads. When measuring power, both techniques run simultaneously.

Single- and three-phase active power and power factor are computed automatically (Watts to 1 MW); the harmonic content of the signal is displayed up to the 25th harmonic alongside total harmonic distortion (THD) and distortion factor. Three-phase rotation indication, capacitance to 4000 µF, frequency to 10 kHz, resistance to 100 kΩ, diode test, and continuity beeper round out the meter functions. Auto-ranging across all parameters with True-RMS conversion (AC + DC) for accuracy on non-sinusoidal waveforms.

Temperature measurements up to 1000 °C are made via the supplied TP100 K-type thermocouple probe. Inrush peak current capture, data hold, min/max/peak hold, non-contact voltage alert, and an internal LED torch (auto-on during clamp operation) make the meter practical in dim or live-circuit environments.

Data logger stores up to 9999 timestamped records to non-volatile memory, with selectable record rates from 1 second to 600 seconds. Built-in Bluetooth v4.0 transfers real-time data to the free Megger Link app on iOS or Android over up to 10 m range; downloaded data graphs and reports for analysis. Auto power-off at 15 minutes preserves battery life.
