The Fluke 820-2 is a rugged, compact, handheld LED stroboscope that freezes the motion of rotating or reciprocating machinery so it can be inspected, identified, and diagnosed while running — no need to stop the equipment or make physical contact. By matching the strobe's flash rate to the speed of a moving part, the part appears to stand still, letting technicians read part numbers, observe gear teeth, and spot parasitic oscillations, flaws, slippage, or unwanted distortion on belts, bearings, shafts, fans, pumps, clutches, and similar components.
Beyond stop-motion inspection, the 820-2 doubles as a non-contact strobe tachometer for measuring the running speed or frequency of a shaft, motor, or other rotating element — useful where you can't reach the shaft to apply reflective tape for a laser tachometer or make contact with a mechanical tachometer. An ultra-bright 7-LED array provides a high-intensity light source that, unlike traditional xenon lamps, never needs replacement, and the solid-state design with no filaments or glass is built to take a 1-meter drop.
The Fluke 820-2 LED Stroboscope # FLUKE-820-2 is manufactured by Fluke. Valley Instrument Service is an authorized Fluke dealer offering full sales support, NIST-traceable calibration, and expert technical assistance.
